Deep Purple/Yes Announce Summer Trek

70s giants Deep Purple (pictured above) and Yes have announced =1 More Time Tour” of the U.S. 

This edition of Deep Purple doesn’t have any original members but it does have vocalist Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice, all of whom were in the band during the “Smoke On The Water” era. Deep Purple also features keyboardist Don Airey who replaced original member Jon Lord in ’02.

Deep Purple was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in ’16.

Yes is also absent of any original members but does feature guitarist Steve Howe who signed on in ’70 following the band’s self-titled debut album. Keyboardist Geoff Downes had a brief stint with Yes in the early ’80s before becoming a long-term member in ’11.
