The Beatles

The Beatles have released “the last Beatles song,” the somber “Now And Then.” Based on a John Lennon demo from the ’70s the track includes later contributions from the other three Beatles.

Similar to “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love,” “Now And Then” was based on a Lennon demo but with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and song engineers using AI (artificial intelligence) to “extricate” Lennon’s voice from the old demo in order to complete the song.

According to a press release, “Now And Then’ includes electric and acoustic guitar recorded in 1995 by George (Harrison), Ringo’s new drum part, and bass, guitar and piano from Paul, which matches John’s original playing. Paul added a slide guitar solo inspired by George; he and Ringo also contributed backing vocals to the chorus.
