Bad Wolves
While the first two singles, “Learn To Live” and “Toast To The Ghost,” from Bad Wolves debut album “Disobey,” didn’t do much, the third single, a cover of the Cranberries’ “Zombie” peaked at #23 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
The band was slated to record their version of “Zombie” with The Cranberries’ vocalist Dolores O’Riordan. But she passed away just hours before the session.
The band decided to move ahead as planned and later donated the song’s royalties to “O’Riordan’s family.

Sophomore set “N.A.T.I.O.N.,” released in ’19, continued the band’s success on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart with “Remember When” and Killing Me Slowly” topping the chart.
“There’s stuff that’s probably heavier, as more heavy than the last record,” explained guitarist Doc Coyle. “And then there’s some really catchy, kind of more mainstream stuff to cover that end of it, and a lot of stuff in the middle.”

So far, so good? Well, maybe not.
In January, ’21, vocalist Tommy Vext announced he’d left the band with the intention of launching his own solo career.
“It is true that Bad Wolves and vocalist Tommy Vext have parted ways,” wrote the band in a statement. “The four of us plan to continue making music and a new album is planned for later this year. Tommy has been a big part of Bad Wolves and we are grateful for his contributions.”
Well, that’s that… but it wasn’t. Vext claimed his support of Donald Trump and his criticism of Black Lives Matters… along with his other conservative views got him booted.
Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz was brought in to replace Vext (who said the band should change its name since he was no longer a member).
Bad Wolves third album, “Dear Monsters,” a ’21 release, was the first feature “DL” and final album prior to the departure of rhythm guitarist Chris Cain.
In ’23 rhythm guitarist Max Karon announced that he was no longer touring with Bad Wolves but would still help with songwriting.
Bad Wolves officially welcomed guitarist AJ Rebollo into the fold after he toured with the band in ’23 following Karon’s departure. The band then unveiled “Bad Friend,” off their fourth album, “Die About It,” and “Knife,” a non-album single, included Rebollo’s scream vocals.
Coyle and bassist Kyle Konkiel departed in ’25 as the band saw Cain return.
