“The Greatest Night In Pop,” a documentary that dives into the history of the ‘85 charity single, “We Are The World,” will have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on 1/19, then hit Netflix on 1/29.
The film goes from the planning stages to the all-star recording session and features interviews Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis, and Kenny Loggins.
“We Are the World” sold over 20 million copies worldwide. It’s estimated the song helped raise over $63 million (in ’85 dollars) for humanitarian aid in Africa.
