Billboard’s Top Tours of All-Time
Billboard, for no particular reason, has published a list of the Top 10 Tours of All-Time.
#1 is Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” trek has garnered more than $800-million.
Here’s an overview of the list…
#9 – “AC/DC: Black Ice World Tour” (’08-10) with a paltry $442-million.
#6 – The Rolling Stones “No Filter Tour” (’17-’19, ’21). Taking $547-million in revenues Mick and his fellow mates can expect a comfortable retirement as long a Ron Wood doesn’t take any more Russian brides.
#5 – The Rolling Stones “Bigger Bang” trek (’05- ’07). This one earned $558-million.
#4 – What would any touring list be without Guns N’ Roses? The “Not In This Life” trek took in $584 million.
#3 – No surprise, U2’s “360⁰ World Tour” (’09-’11) earned $736-million.
Between U2 (pictured above) and Elton John was Ed Sheeran.
Popsters Coldplay (#7) and Harry Styles (#10) did well. And so did Roger Waters with “The Wall Live” (#8), while offstage doing his best to offend everybody.
