Van Halen Guitar To Be Auctioned
Eddie Van Halen’s 1982 Kramer electric guitar will be auctioned by Sotheby’s New York during its inaugural Grails Week this October.
The guitar, which Van Halen played in 1982 and 1983, is expected to go for between $2 million and $3 million at the auction held October 21st to 28th.
Eddie later gave the guitar to his longtime guitar technician Robin “Rudy” Leiren (the guitar has an inscription to Leiren) who sold it to Mötley Crüe’s Mick Mars. However, the guitar’s current owner is unknown.

Van Halen died from cancer in ’20 at age 65.
