Power Trip Coming Back
Power Trip will perform at the inguinal No Values festival on June 8th in Pomona, CA. It’ll be the band’s first promoted show since the death of original vocalist Riley Gale in ’20.
“It has been a difficult road since then, marked by deep pain, grief, and everything else that came with losing our brother Riley,” stated the band.
An autopsy report ruled that Gale died from the toxic effects of fentanyl, while the manner of death was said to be accidental.
Surviving members Blake Ibanez (guitar/vocals), Nick Stewart (guitar/vocals), Chris Whetzel (bass) and Chris Ulsh (drums) will be joined by vocalist Seth Gilmore, who also plays with Ibanez in Fugitive,
Ibanez, Stewart, Whetzel, Ulsh and Gilmore played a surprise five song Power Trip set last December following a Fugitive show in Austin, TX.
Power Trip released two albums with Gale – 13’s “Manifest Decimation” and ’17’s “Nightmare Logic.”
The Misfits and Social Distortion will headline No Values. In addition to Power Trip, Turnstile and a newly reunited Dillinger Escape Plan are slated to perform.
