New Music: Amaranthe, Haste The Day, Eva Under Fire & Puscifer

Amaranthe
Chaos Theory
Amaranthe: Chaos Theory
“We felt like this is a really uptempo song and it’s a song that is really looking forward a lot as, at the same time, it’s looking back to maybe our first couple of albums,” noted Swedish band’s guitarist Olof Mörck. “It has a little bit of ‘Amaranthe’ (2011) and ‘The Nexus’ (2013) kind of vibe to it also while being very up to date and very 2026.
“There was stuff that we did on the first couple of albums that we didn’t wanna repeat, but… there was some really nice stuff that really worked,” added Mörck.
Originally called Avalanche the band was forced to change their name due to legal issues. Bandmembers chose the name Amaranthe.

Haste The Day
Shallows
Haste The Day: Shallows
The track is from band’s seventh full-length effort “Dissenter” which will drop May 1st. It will be their first album since 2015.
“‘Shallows’ captures the core of what we set out to create on this record — aggressive, melodic Metalcore,” the band commented. “Driven by high-energy riffs, heavy breakdowns, and a memorable chorus, the song balances nostalgia with contemporary influence. Lyrically, it confronts disillusionment, corruption, and the cost of defiance.”
In ’23, Haste The Day announced they would reunite for the first time in seven years to play that year’s Furnace Fest in Brimingham, AL.

Eva Under Fire
Murder Scene
Eva Under Fire: Murder Scene
“‘Murder Scene’ explores eating disorders, body dysmorphia, self-doubt, and how dreams can become nightmares when the same people who once cheered for you are now criticizing you,” offered Eva Under Fire singer and songwriter Amanda Lyberg. “The dream of being on stage comes with a spotlight on my personal flaws. I’m just a body. To be picked apart and judged and perceived. Anxiety is a liar in my head. It tells me I’m not good enough to be here. So, I fight it. I changed my name and my image to prove it wrong. Still the anxiety gets louder. I think it’s trying to kill me. In a world so desensitized, it feels like death has been redefined as a minor inconvenience. I’m insecure about my body so anxiety might win.”

Puscifer
Bad Wolf
Puscifer: Bad Wolf
The song is from Puscifer’s “Normal Isn’t,” the band’s first album in five years.
“Oral Tradition, the practice of passing down legends, myths, and metaphors, has always fascinated me,” explains bandmember Maynard James Keenan. “The stories contain history, important lessons, values, social contracts and the like. One of my favorites has always been the Cherokee tale of the Two Wolves. This story serves as a metaphor for our inner battle between good/wise/loving choices and poor/selfish/hateful choices. The wolf that thrives is the wolf you feed.”
Puscifer has Keenan, Mat Mitchell and Carina Round.
