2025 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductions
Soundgarden, The White Stripes and Bad Company were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the “Performer” category during the 40th annual induction ceremony on Saturday at the Peacock Theater in L.A.
Soundgarden, the Seattle Grunge band were first nominated for the Rock Hall in 2020 and were on the ballot again in 2023 before finally being chosen for induction.
Toni Cornell, the daughter of late Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, was joined by Heart’s Nancy Wilson for an acoustic rendition of “Fell On Black Days.”
Brandi Carlile and Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell performed “Black Hole Sun.”

White Stripes
This was White Stripes’ second nomination; they were nominated in 2023, their first year of eligibility.
“For some reason, people especially connected with this one two-piece duo project that I was in called the White Stripes, offered Jack White. “We don’t know why these things happen, but when they do, it’s the most beautiful thing you can have as an artist or musician when people are responding and sharing with you.”
Meg White did not attend the ceremony having completely left the music industry since the White Stripes disbanded in 2011.
Bad Company, eligible for induction since 1999 received its first-ever nomination in 2025. But vocalist Paul Rodgers does not attend for health reasons.
Founding Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke played “Feel Like Makin’ Love: with The Black Crowes Chris Robinson, Nancy Wilson (pulling double duty) and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry.

The drummer also paid tribute to late member Mick Ralphs, who died earlier this year, and Boz Burrell, who passed away in 2006.
Warren Zevon, Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones studio piano great), Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast and Chubby Checker were also inducted in the “Performer” category. Carol Kaye (Wrecking Crew bassist for the Beach Boys, among countless others) for “Musical Excellence.”
A primetime special featuring exclusive performances and standout moments will air on ABC, January 1st and be available the next day on Hulu.
