Metallica Draws Blood
Metallica’s All Within My Hands (AWMH) foundation has announced that more than 1,000 blood donations have been collected to date as part of a lifesaving partnership with the American Red Cross.
The Red Cross x Metallica blood drives kicked off in select locations along the current U.S. leg of the “M72“ world tour. In the following weeks, Metallica fans turned out to blood drives, rolling up their sleeves to help patients counting on critical care.
“The Red Cross appreciates the impact this partnership has made in the lives of people in trauma situations, and those facing cancer and chronic conditions,” said Darren Irby, executive director of national partnerships for the Red Cross.
Several Red Cross x Metallica blood drives remain, including stops in Houston, TX Santa Clara, CA; and Denver.
