The 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Are…

The 2025 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were announced on a live episode of American Idol (on 4/27).

The inductees are:

Bad Company

They enjoyed success throughout the 1970s. Their first three albums, “Bad Company” (1974), “Straight Shooter” (1975) and Run With The Pack” (1976), reached the top 5 on the Album charts in both the U.K. and the U.S.

They have sold 20 million RIAA-certified albums in the U.S. and 40 million worldwide.

Soundgarden

The pioneering Grunge band achieved its biggest success with their fourth album “Superunknown” (1994), which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the Grammy Award-winning singles “Spoonman” and “Black Hole Sun.”

“I think Soundgarden made the best records out of that scene,” stated late frontman Chris Cornell in ;07,

The White Stripes

Commercial success came with their third album, “White Blood Cells” (2001), which propelled them to the forefront of the Garage Rock revival. Their fourth album, “Elephant” (2003), containing the single “Seven Nation Army” (a track that topped the Billboard Rock charts) earned the band their first Grammy Awards. 

Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper and Outlast will also be inducted.

Phish, eligible since 2014, were nominated for the first time and led the fan tally with 328.000 votes (out of 2-5 million ballots cast). But they didn’t get the nod.

In addition to Phish, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Black Crowes and Oasis were also left out on the cold.

The full induction ceremony will air live November 8th from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Disney+ and will arrive on Hulu the next day.
