Sammy Hagar has received the 2,779th star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
The Red Rocker and vocalist for Van Hagar (a.k.a. Van Halen) was honored during a 4/30 ceremony at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. Hagar was recognized in the Recording category.
Following a stint with Montrose, Hagar embarked on a solo career that is best remembered for the MTV fav “I Can’t Drive 55,” before a long term and successful run with Van Halen, following David Lee Roth’s departure.
The Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce administers the Hollywood Walk Of Fame for the City of Los Angeles.
