Peter Frampton Is A Les Paul Award Recipient

Peter Frampton received the annual Les Paul Spirit Award on Sunday (6/9) during a private event at the Gibson Garage in Nashville.

Following stints with The Herd and Humble Pie, Frampton released his breakthrough fifth solo album “Frampton Comes Alive.” The ’76 set spawned several hits (“Show Me The Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way” “Do You Feel Like We Do”) and went 8x platinum. The album also featured a talk box to create an unprecedented sound.

The award is presented each year to a musician “who exemplifies the spirit of the late, great Les Paul through innovation, engineering, technology and/or music.”
