3/15 James Hetfield Is Underwater

The Metallica frontman announces his engagement to Adriana Gillett.

The Metallica social media shares an underwater photo of Hetfield and Gillett, with the former holding up a sign with the text: “Adriana Gillett, will you marry me?” The picture is captioned, “She said yes!”

3/15 Lamb Of God Pop-Up

Two days after the arrival of their album, “Into Oblivion,” Lamb Of God perform at Philadelphia’s TLA (Theatre of Living Arts) with the one-off show giving fans a chance to see the band in an unusually intimate setting.

The event is part of a nationwide release celebration, with more than 140 independent record stores hosting album listening parties

3/15 Conan O’Brien Slags Kid Rock

Hosting the 98th Oscars in Hollywood, O’Brien tells the audience: “Tonight could get political, and if that makes you uncomfortable, there’s an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock. It’s at the Dave & Buster’s down the street.”

Rock hosted an alternative Super Bowl halftime show (a dud) after MAGA objected to actual halftime performer Bad Bunny – who was fantastic.

3/16 Three Days Grace Reaches Spotify’s Billions Club For A Second Time

Following “I Hate Everything About You,” “Animal I Have Become” is the latest Three Days Grace track to enter the elite group.

“What began as a raw idea on the road… grew into a song that connected with millions around the world,” “stated the band.

Three Days Grace is the first Canadian Rock band with two entries in the Billions Club.

3/18 Alice Cooper Golf Gear

Alice Cooper’s “The Cooper Club” golf line is announced. The direct-to-consumer collection brings the rebellious energy of Rock ‘n’ Roll to the golf course. The line features fashion-forward golf shirts, hats, gloves, and golf tees.

Copper has stated that golf helped with his sobriety.

3/19 Metallica Draws Blood

The American Red Cross announces that Metallica and its foundation, All Within My Hands has, since April 2025, generated more than 25,000 blood donations is the U.S. as part of the Red Cross x Metallica collaboration.

The band also encouraged blood donations at stops along their “M72” world tour. As a result, about 40,000 total blood donations were collected worldwide.

3/19 AC/DC Guitarist Stevie Young Hospitalized In Buenos Aires

AC/DC releases the following statement” “Out of an abundance of caution, (Stevie) was admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing a full battery of tests. Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting (back) on stage.”

AC/DC is in Buenos Aires on the South American leg of the band’s “Power Up” tour.

3/19 Alkaline Trio’s New Drummer

Tosh Peterson, who was on Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball tour, is named Alkaline Trio’s drummer replacing Atom Willard, who left in February.  

Alkaline Trio guitarist Matt Skiba writes on Instagram: “We’re HONORED to be playing with @tosh_thedrummer for these upcoming shows and we’re hoping for a long time to come.”

If the move becomes permanent, Peterson will be Alkaline Trio’s fifth full-time drummer since they got their start in 1996.

3/20 “The Rise Of The Red Hot Chili Peppers” Premieres

Though the Netflix documentary contains interviews with bandmembers Anthony Kiedis and Flea, RHCP posts a cautionary note saying it’s not a RHCP documentary. “We had nothing to do with it creatively. The central subject of this current Netflix special is (original guitarist) Hillel Slovak,” who died on an accidental drug overdose in 1988.

3/21 Papa Roach Are #1… Again

Replacing Shinedown’s “Searchlight,” at #1, “Wake Up Calling” is Papa Roach’s thirteenth song to rule the chart.

Papa Roach first #1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2009 with “Lifeline” but “Last Resort,” which peaked at #4 in 2000, was the band’s first to hit the chart.

Metallica is honored at the 2026 Red Cross Gala, an annual volunteer-led, black-tie benefit in San Francisco that raises support for Red Cross preparedness, response and recovery programs in communities

Metallica and the band’s foundation All Within My Hands have become transformative partners to the American Red Cross.
