July 15th, 2022: Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets” Returns
Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets” makes its U.K. Top 40 debut, at #22, thirty-six years after the song’s original release. The resurgence is due to the Netflix series “Stranger Things,” a science fiction horror drama, which featured the song in its season four finale.
The series was set in the ’80s and centers around the residents of the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana as they are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. This occurs when a nearby human experimentation facility opens a gateway between Earth and the Upside Down.
