“Lion’s Share” Demand Sinks Poison Tour

A proposed Poison tour to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary has been abandoned.

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently claimed they have given up on the tour because singer Bret Michaels (pictured above) wants the ‘lion’s share’ of the cash. “‘We had a great offer, I thought. But we left the table. It didn’t work.”

Poison, known for the songs “I Want Action,” “Talk Dirty To Me,” “Nothin’ But A Good Time,” “Fallen Angel,” the chart-topping power ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” a cover of Loggins & Messina’s “Your Mama Don’t Dance” and their best single “Unskinny Bop,” had an impressive run that began in the mid-80s.

According to Rockett, Michaels’ revenue demand was “not possible to even do it. You just can’t work that way.”
