The Libertines have shared “Shiver.” The track is from the band’s forthcoming fourth studio album, ” All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade,” out March 8th. It’s The Libertines first studio set in nine years.
Carl Barat and Peter Doherty, who are the band’s core, have a checkered past but worked separately yet collaboratively on the song.
“Peter had a song and I had a song and we mashed them up,” shared Barat.”
“I would probably find it difficult to work out who did what because we were both there the whole time through its creation.” added Doherty.
According to Doherty, the somber track should have been called ‘The Last Dream Of Every Dying Soldier’, “but everyone liked the title ‘Shiver’.”
