Lacuna Coil’s New Single From “Sleepless Empire”
Lacuna Coil have released “Gravity,” the fifth single from their upcoming record “Sleepless Empire,” due February 14th.
“Balance is so difficult to keep as we navigate through desperate times, feeling lost and gasping as we ask for help,” the band wrote about the song. “How do we deal with tough times? Do we ask for a hand? Or do we isolate ourselves from everything else to recollect in our own misanthropic golden cage?”
“According to vocalist Cristina Scabbia the “Sleepless Empire” title reflects current social environment. “We’re always awake, constantly trying to be productive, super connected with the rest of the world, but at the same time, we’ve never been so disconnected and anxious and feeling that we need to prove something, that we need to be present all the time, because if not, we are forgotten by the rest of the world.”

The previously released singles were “Oxygen,” “Never Dawn,” “In The Meantime” and “Hosting The Shadow.”
Last October, guitarist/producer Daniele Salomone confirmed that he had joined Lacuna Coil as the replacement for Diego Cavallotti, who had been with the band for eight years.
