Epica’s New Single Is “Avatar – The Final Incarnation”
“We’ve just unveiled our brand-new single, “Avatar – The Final Incarnation,” a track written during the “Aspiral” sessions,” writes Epica.
“In Hindu philosophy, Kalki represents the final avatar who restores balance at the end of the age,” noted Epica guitarist/vocalist Mark Jansen “That idea of breaking free from cycles — through self-realization, detachment from desires, and inner transformation — resonates deeply with me. ‘Avatar’ channels that journey toward liberation, something both powerful and universal.”
Avatar – The Final Incarnation
The single’s artwork is taken directly from the Dutch Symphonic Metal band’s forthcoming Epica Oracle Card Set, based on the band’s ninth studio album, “Aspiral.” It will launch worldwide on January 7th.
