Between The Buried And Me guitarist Dustie Waring (pictured left) returned to the stage at the Furnace Festival (9/24) months after rape allegations were made against him.
Earlier this year, an anonymous individual accused Waring of rape in a Reddit post. As a result, Waring did not participate in the Prog Metal band’s summer tour.
“Mr. Waring has always maintained his innocence regarding the false allegations against him,” wrote Waring’s lawyer Chad Diamond, Esq. in a 9/25 statement. “He has put this unfortunate situation behind him and is thrilled to finally get back to making music.”
Between The Buried And Me formed in ’08. Waring is an original member. The band has released ten albums to date – the most recent being ‘21’s “Colors II.”
