Anthrax Drop “The Edge Of Perfection”
“The Edge Of Perfection” is the latest single from Anthrax’s long-awaited twelfth full-length studio album, “Cursum Perficio,” due September 18th. It marks the band’s first record since 2016’s “For All Kings,” which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
The phrase “Cursum Perficio” is Latin for “My journey has come to an end.”
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian describes “The Edge Of Perfection” as “the greatest Anthrax song in the history of Anthrax. We have not written anything this great in our career. And to do that all these years in makes it all the more special.”

“(‘It’s For The Kids’) has this tension to it where the drums are just playing at a high pace speed, and the guitars are doing pretty much quarter notes with it,” notes drummer Charlie Benante. “One of my favorite songs on the record and one of my favorite riffs. I really think this song is a gift to Anthrax fans who have been with us throughout the years.”
