2026 Top 10 Rock Songs (To Date)

It was #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart In February.

“This song went through all these different twists and turns until it found its identity in what it is now,” recalls the band’s Chris Daughtry. “It was me following my gut and my instinct to get back to me and listen to my voice and not placate to everyone else.”

“The new music has been turning out heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it,” reports FFDP founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory. “We had three years to write this record and really live with it,” he continues. “We started with nearly 30 songs and carved it down to 14 or 15.”

The track is on “Legacy,” the band’s 10th studio album.

“It was as honest, natural, and pure as any song can be,” says Sevendust guitarist John Connolly talking about “Is This Is The Real You?” “If you really want to know what Sevendust sounds like in 2026, ‘Is This The Real You?’ gives you a good idea.”

The song is on the band’s fifteenth studio album “One,” which dropped in May.

The song (featuring Conquer Divide) is from Stitched Up Heart’s fourth studio album, “Medusa.”

“‘’Glitch Bitch’’ is a love letter to every fierce e-girl baddie out there shattering expectations, and leaving a trail of broken hearts in your digital wake,” states the Stitched Up Heart.

Guitarist/vocalist Michael Poulsen recalls: “‘Demonic Depression’ is based on one of my really good friends and the state of mind that he was in for a couple of years. I’ve played it for several friends, and they’ve all asked, ‘Did you write that about me?’ Which is a little scary and just shows how many people are dealing with mental issues in certain parts of their lives and how many are constantly struggling.”

The single is from The Warning’s fifth album, “Everything Is Falling.”

“‘Everything’s Falling’ is a snapshot of where we are in our lives right now,” writes the band. “We’ve grown so much over the past few years, not just as musicians, but as people. This album reflects everything we’ve experienced, the lessons we’ve learned, and the challenges we’ve overcome.”

It’s the lead from the band’s twelfth full-length studio album, “Cursum Perficio,”

Drummer Charlie Benante states: “It has this tension to it where the drums are just playing at a high pace speed, and the guitars are doing pretty much quarter notes with it. And the drums are just going full speed ahead. One of my favorite songs on the record and one of my favorite riffs.

The retro-Rock song is on the “Nimrods” original soundtrack.

Developed by writer/director Lee Kirk with Green Day “Nimrods” revolves around three friends who embark on a rowdy journey to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.

”‘When I Wake Up’ is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare,” reflects frontwoman Taylor Momsen. “When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it.”

On the same day “When I Wake Up” was released, the band announced their fifth studio album, “Dear God.”

Before forming the band, Momsen was an actress, best known for “Gossip Girl.” 

“‘Your Favorite Toy‘ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album,” explains frontman Dave Grohl. “We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead.” It’s the title track of the band’s twelfth studio album.
