Papa Roach Score Thirteenth #1
Papa Roach has once again found their way to the top of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Wake Up Calling” (dated March 21st). Replacing Shinedown’s “Searchlight,” at #1, “Wake Up Calling” is Papa Roach’s thirteenth song to rule the chart.
“‘Wake Up Calling‘ is a song about standing on the edge of disaster — being pulled back from the brink, and ultimately choosing love over self-destruction,” explained Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “It’s one of the most raw, emotional songs we’ve written.”
Wake Up Calling
Papa Roach first ruled Mainstream Rock Airplay in 2009 with “Lifeline” but “Last Resort,” which peaked at #4 in 2000, was the band’s first to hit the chart.
“Wake Up Calling” is currently a standalone single.
