Violet Grohl Delivers “595”

Violet Grohl, daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave, has released a music video for her latest single, “595,” accompanied by a Nikki Milan Houston-directed video.

“It was clear that she represents the next generation of artists,” shared Kristina Grossmann, Republic Records’ SVP of A&R/operations. “The music is immediate, intentional and her voice holds a rare duality. She is unapologetically cool and is a fearless female voice.”

The track is the follow-up to Grohl’s debut single “THUM.”

Prior to the launch of her solo career, Grohl provided backing vocals on the Foo Fighters’  “Medicine At Midnight” and “But Here We Are” albums and performed as part of the tribute concerts to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

David Wolter, EVP/head of A&R, added: “Violet brings a rare combination of perspective, artistry, and reverence for the craft. She is the future.”

Grohl’s debut album, “Be Sweet To Me,” is set for release on May 29th via Republic Records through her imprint Auroura Records.

“She made this album with a producer named Justin Raisen and she did it on her own,” Dad Dave recalled. “She met the producer and they would go to the studio every day and make songs and she would send me songs when she was finished. But I had absolutely nothing to do with this record at all. I had no idea.”
