Liam Gallagher Not Happy About SNL Skit

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher (picture above right) seems compelled to answer any knock against him, and to a lesser extent the band. His latest outburst was focused on a Saturday Night Live sketch that aired over weekend mocking the Gallagher brothers (Noel and Liam) for their legendary inability to get along.

Inactive since ’09, Oasis has lined up a sold-out world tour beginning next summer leading people to wonder, given the pair’s disfunction, if it would actually happen and if it did, would it be completed.

The “Weekend Update” skit saw the pair (played by James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman) bickering like children before agreeing on a few things they like and finding common ground regarding their favorite and least favorite Sex In The City boyfriends.

When asked about the skit on X Liam responded that it was “excruciating.” He went on to criticize the SNL performers. “I wouldn’t expect anything else from them” and “Are they meant to be comedians.”

The Oasis reunion tour kicks off July 4th, 2025, in Cardiff, Wales.

The Gallaghers announced the tour last August after spending a decade-and-a-half of saying such a thing would never happen.

Tickets for the North American dates sold-out within an hour.
