Metallica Donates To Toronto Food Bank
Metallica, through the band’s All Within My Hands (AWMH foundation, has donated $40,000 to Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.
“We want to wholeheartedly thank the members of Metallica for this incredibly generous donation,” said Neil Hetherington, Daily Bread Food Bank CEO. “Right now, far too many are struggling, and these funds will help support food bank clients as the hunger crisis in our city reaches an all-time high.”
Last December, Toronto declared a state of emergency with more than one in 10 people in the city relying on food banks — twice as many as just two years prior.
Metallica’s donation equates to 40,000 meals.
Last week, Metallica played two sold-out Toronto shows as a part of its “M72” world tour. Nine years ago, they made their first donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank,
