KISS Light Up The Empire State Building
To honor KISS’ final two live shows of their career at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, there was a music-to-light show on the Empire State Building (on 11/30) featuring iconic band photos taken on the building’s 86th-floor observation deck almost 50 years ago.
The ceremonial display illuminated the building from dusk until 2 a.m. with the music-to-light show set to band’s ’75 hit “Rock And Roll All Nite.”
The final KISS concert is December 2nd .
KISS was founded in NYC in ’73 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals), and Peter Criss (drums, vocals). Frehley and Criss are no longer in the band. Tommy Thayer (lead guitar) and Eric Singer (drums) replaced them.
Criss has stated that he was “disappointed” that he and Frehley “weren’t asked to come out and do a few (KISS) songs for their fans.”
