The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ‘fan vote” is over with the announcement of the 2024 Hall inductees to be announced during this Sunday’s edition of American Idol. The top five fan vote artists will comprise a ballot that will be added to the other ballots.
The Top 5 Fan Vote Recipients are:
Dave Matthews Band (Favored “heady” band – Matthews pictured above)
Peter Frampton (Had a mega-hit live double album in the mid-70s)
Foreigner (Journeyman Rock band whose biggest hit was a ballad)
Ozzy Osbourne (Heavy Metal icon)
Cher (Showbiz icon)
Who should be inducted: Foreigner and Ozzy.
Who will be inducted: Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner and Cher. Ozzy is already in as a member of Black Sabbath.
The announcement will be delivered by host Ryan Seacrest and “Idol” judge Lionel Richie, who is in Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Over four million votes were cast in this year.
