U2 Conclude Sphere Residency
U2 closed out their Las Vegas Sphere residency on Saturday. It was the band’s 40th show at the Sphere since they opened the $2 billion venue last September.
The band played “One” with producer Daniel Lanois (three U2 albums) on guitar.
There was also a version of the Crowded House classic “Don’t Dream It’s Over” in honor of late Russian dissident Alexei Navalny. Bono and the Edge duetted virtually with a pre-recorded vocal by the song’s composer, Neil Finn.
Drummer Larry Mullen Jr. remained sidelined by back issues, though he was in the crowd for the show of the Sphere run the previous night.
