U2 performed a cover of Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” for the first time in nearly 36 years Friday (12/15) at Las Vegas’ Sphere.
U2 had only performed the holiday classic in concert on December 20th, ’87, at Tempe, Arizona’s Sun Devil Stadium. Love’s original version was release in ’63.
The “U2 UV: Achtung Baby” residency at the Sphere was scheduled to end Saturday but has been extended to March 2nd, for a total of 40 shows.
