The Who: Farewell Tour (Again)

The band with the undisputed record for the most ‘farewell tours’, The Who have announced “The Song Is Over” farewell tour. The tour title comes from a song on the “Who’s Next” album.

The 16-date tour will kick off August. 16th in Sunrise, FL, and is scheduled to conclude September 28th in Las Vegas. General onsale begins May 16th.

“For me, playing to American audiences and those in Canada has always been incredible; I keep coming back. Every time I do, I meet new fans and feel new energy,” offered guitarist Pete Townshend. “Roger (Daltrey) and I are in a good place, despite our age, eager to throw our weight behind this fond farewell.”

Despite the deaths of drummer Keith Moon and bassist John Entwistle surviving founding members Townshend and vocalist Roger Daltrey have continued to tour.
