Underwood previously performed both songs throughout her career. Notably, she sang “Kickstart My Heart” in ’07 with Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil on stage in Nashville.
Her cover of “Home Sweet Home” was available for download on iTunes in ’09. A portion of the proceeds went the Humane Society Of The United States. “I’ve always loved this song, and besides being very fitting for ‘Idol’, to me, the title is also very fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes,” Underwood stated.

“He lived an incredible life and was an amazing storyteller,” writes the family in a statement. “He was very, very funny and goofy and loved to tell jokes. He loved what he did, and he worked til the very end. We will miss him a lot.”

5/15 Rock Hall Opens Wings Exhibit
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland opens “Paul McCartney & Wings.” the first major museum exhibit dedicated to McCartney’s post-Beatles band.
The exhibit charts the formation of Wings in 1971 to their breakup in 1981. Instruments used in studio recordings and live performances, handwritten lyrics, tour memorabilia and previously unseen photography are on display.
“After the breakup of The Beatles, Paul McCartney was no longer just the musician who had been known around the world since his teenage years, but a husband and father of a young family. What he built with Wings reflected that new stage of life,” says Andy Leach, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s senior director of museum and archival collections.

“Drag Me” is the first song From Ashes To New to reach #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
It displaces Dayseeker’s “Crawl Back To My Coffin” after one week.
The song is From Ashes To New’s 13th entry on the survey. They first reached Mainstream Rock Airplay in ’16 with “Through It All,” which peaked at #6, marking the band’s first of seven Top 10s: a list that includes “Barely Breathing,” which reached #2 in ’24.
“Drag Me” is on “Reflections,” the band’s fifth studio album which dropped in April. The set also contains the singles “New Disease” and “Villain.”
