Morrison Hotel Burns – The Future’s Uncertain And The End Is Always Near

The former Morrison Hotel, made famous by The Doors and their 1970 album of the same name, burned for nearly two hours on Thursday (12/26) before more than 100 firefighters brought the flames under control.
The four-story downtown L.A. building, vacant for more than a decade, was featured on the cover of The Doors’ fifth album which was viewed as The Doors returning to their roots following two less-than-stellar albums (“Waiting For The Sun” and “The Soft Parade”).
The Morrison Hotel/Hard Rock Cafe” album is best known for the song “Roadhouse Blues.” The studio version and a live performance are below,
