“Vegas Take Over” Slated For April

Following the “Keepin’ It Real” U.S. trek this winter, the “Tesla: The Las Vegas Takeover” be held on April 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th and 13th at the House Of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

The band plans to visit all sides of their discography which includes eleven albums starting with the ’86 release of “Mechanical Resonance,” which went platinum (one million units moved) on the strength of the singles “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi“. Three years later, The Great Radio Controversy,” featuring “Love Song,” arrived. It went double platinum.

For “MTV Unplugged” the band recorded “Five Man Acoustical Jam” containing a cover of “Signs.” The Five Man Electrical Band’s original, released in ’70, went to #3 on the Billboard 200. Tesla’s version, which arrived in ’90, peaked at #8.

Third studio effort, “Psychotic Supper,” also went platinum.

Though the band broke up in ’96 they returned in ’00 and have sold 14 million albums in the U.S.
