Steve Perry Fundraiser Raises $215,000
Former Journey singer Steve Perry has raised $215.00 for Altadena fire victims and to rebuild area’s neighborhoods following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
Perry auctioned over 50 items from his personal archive, including the handwritten lyrics to “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which went for $43,500.
“I’m truly appreciative of the incredible support for this charity auction,” Perry explained. “It means the world to me to see these personal pieces, many of which carry deep memories from different chapters of my life, find new homes while helping a cause that matters so deeply to me.”

Darkives Collectibles curated the auction (which ended Friday, 6/13) with the funds going to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
“I started this auction as a way to give back, and the response has been nothing short of overwhelming,” Perry added. “I’m beyond grateful to everyone who participated, placed bids, shared the word, and supported the mission.”
Journey had their biggest commercial success between 1978 and 1987, when Steve Perry was lead vocalist. He also co-wrote many of their best-known songs… including “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
