Slipknot, celebrating its 25h anniversary, was one of the headliners at the Sick New World festival Saturday night (April 27th). The band’s 12-song set was their first festival appearance of the year marked the second performance with the group’s new drummer, believed to be Eloy Casagrande (pictured), formerly with Sepultura. He replaced Jay Weinberg who was fired by the band last November.

Also, System Of A Down played their first live show in eleven months. The 27-song set opened with X, a song from the ’05 “Mezmerize” album, that delved into the perils of over-population.

Frontman Serj Tankian (pictured front right) has been dealing with health issues (which seem to have improved) and non-medical matters (lifestyle choices, family and personal vison) which may or may not be affected by travel or touring.
