The Billboard Music Awards were presented on Sunday (11/19). Though the awards focused primarily on Pop, R&B, Rap and Country acts there was a (slight) nod toward Rock.
In the Top Rock Duo/Group category, Artic Monkeys (pictured) beat out Foo Fighters and Metallica for the honor.
The Top Touring Artist award went to Coldplay.
Ironically, the Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Song and Top Rock Album awards went to Zach Bryan who is mainly known as a Country performer. The Top Rock Album was “American Heartbreak” and the Top Rock Song was “Something In Orange.” Bryan also took home Top New Artist.
The Billboard Music Awards have been presented annually since 1990. The selection of finalist is based on album and digital songs sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring, and social engagement as tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners.
