Primary Wave Music has partnered with the estate of Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver).
The singer and songwriter’s catalog, including publishing copyrights and recording royalties for Weiland’s repertoire recorded for STP and Velvet Revolver, as well as all songs and recordings from his solo career (four albums).
“There are few Rock artists that had the impact that Scott Weiland did on music,” said Larry Mestel, CEO/founder of Primary Wave Music. “Scott’s influence on music is unparalleled and he remains one of the most influential musicians in Rock music. We are extremely grateful the estate has chosen to partner with us to continue to grow his incredible legacy.”
Weiland’s career was plagued by substance abuse issues, leading to arrests and his firing from STP.
On December 3rd, 2015, he was found dead of an accidental drug overdose on his tour bus in Bloomington, MN.
