Haley Williams: Parachute

The track is from Williams’ third solo album “Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.” The video has just dropped.

Directed, filmed, and edited by Zachary Gray, the “Parachute” video was partially shot in the U.K.

The Paramore singer recently teamed with David Byrne (Talking Heads) on his latest album “Who Is The Sky” and paired with Byrne for the “The Twits.” soundtrack. The musical comedy, an adaptation Roald Dahl’s 1980 children’s novel will be available on Netflix’beginning October 17th.

Paramore’s most recent album was “This Is Why” which dropped in ’23. The title track won a ’24 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Performance.

Led by Gene Gallagher the band has released their debut single “Hinge.”

“‘Hinge’ is about paranoia derived from sleepless nights,” Gallagher said. “I was probably hungover when I wrote it.”

The trio is rounded out by guitarist Ben Taylor and bassist Jack Schiavo. “Gene brings the most unique perspective on both life and music of anyone I’ve ever met,” noted Taylor. “I’m very organized with the way I play music, and Gene is the complete opposite.”

“I’ve been a huge fan of Florence And The Machine since the ‘Lungs’ album came out and I still have her ‘Ceremonials’ record in my Top 5 albums so I’ve always wanted to cover one of these songs ‘No Light, No Light’ felt like something.” shares 10 Years10 founding guitarist Brian Vodinh. “We could really make work for 10 Years. I felt like it had the potential to rock and have a lot of energy but the smaller moments would bring out a vulnerability in Jesse’s (Hasek) voice that I thought would be awesome and emotional.”

10 Years will head back out on the road for “The Autumn Effect 20th Anniversary Tour” commencing on September 23 in Lawrence, KS.

Kublai Khan TX: The Mountain Of Corsicana

Last April, longtime Kublai Khan TX guitarist Nolan Ashley announced his departure from the band. The musician, who had been with the group for the past 13 years.

“Since my disc replacement surgery and the extensive physical therapy that followed, I’ve faced challenges I never anticipated.,” explained Ashley. “Unfortunately, my grip strength hasn’t returned, and I can no longer play the songs I helped write live. It’s a difficult goodbye — not the one I ever imagined for myself — but I know this is the right decision.”

Ashley is replaced on the road by Nicholas Adam.
