New Music: Accept, The Exies, Joe Satriani/Steve Vai, Kings Of Leon & Daughtry

Accept: The Reckoning

“We’re thrilled to release ‘The Reckoning’,” said guitarist and last original member, Wolf Hoffmann. ” “It’s one of our favorites from the new album: hard-hitting, solid metal with lyrics about a poignant life theme.”

The Exies: For What It’s Worth

“I strummed the chorus and I started to sing the melody,” shared vocalist/guitarist Scott Stevens. “Within about 20 minutes I had the first three or four lines of the chorus. I looked at it in the morning and its journey began.” The early century L.A. band has scheduled a reunion concert on May 29th at the Viper Room in West Hollywood.

Joe Satriani/Steve Vai: The Sea Of Emotion, Pt. 1

“When Steve and I decided the time had finally come for us to collaborate on an album, I immediately thought of our humble beginnings, where we came from, and our teenage rock ‘n’ roll hopes and dreams,” Satriani said.

Kings Of Leon: Split Screen

“We like this song,” the band (pictured above) said in a statement. “We thought the fans would like it too. ‘Split Screen’ may give people a little insight into the depth of the album (“Can We Please Have Fun,” due May 10th).

Daughtry: Pieces

“We will all experience trauma of some kind,” noted Chris Daughtry. “This is about finding the strength to pick up those broken pieces, face the darkness head on, and fight your way toward the light.”
