“Moments That Shook Music: Kurt Cobain” will air Saturday, April 13thon BBC iPlayer and BBC 2. The documentary chronicles the days just prior to the Nirvana frontman’s suicide on April 5th, ’94, and the immediate ramifications.

“The documentary aims to demystify that moment and tell the story in a direct and accurate way with footage shot by the people who were there,” director John Osborne told the BBC. “Kurt Cobain was the reluctant voice of a generation and his death has left a huge void.”

The doc will be the centerpiece of a night of programming dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Cobain’s death.
