Metallica‘s All Within My Hands foundation has donated $200,000 to provide relief to those affected by the wildfires that devastated the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The All Within My Hands board voted to approve the grant for the Maui Strong Fund established through the Hawai’i Community Foundation (HCF).
Wildfires started last Tuesday and moved across the island burning the town of Lahaina. Over 400 people have died in the deadliest U.S. wildfire in five years.
The fires were the product of a confluence of weather conditions, including low humidity, and dry vegetation, with Hurricane Dora winds fanning the flames.
