Megadeth Hit The “Tipping Point”
Megadeth have released “Tipping Point,” the first single off their upcoming self-titled final album.
“We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day,” explained founder/frontman Dave Mustaine. (pictured above). “I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”
“Tipping Point” is Megadeth’s first studio release with guitarist Teemu Mantysaari, who replaced Kiko Loureiro in 2023. Also, the album will be the band’s first with bassist James LoMenzo since ’09’s “Endgame.”
Megadeth will support the album with a farewell world tour that will launch next year.
“We have done something together that’s truly wonderful and will probably never happen again,” Mustaine continued. “We started a musical style, we started a revolution, we changed the guitar world and how it’s played and we changed the world. The bands I played in have influenced the world.”
Mustaine was also an early member of Metallica.
