Sleep Theory Return To #1, Springsteen Re-Enters The Billboard 200 and Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Is “Tanking.”

Noora Louhimo

5/31 Former Battle Beast Singer Wins

Noora Louhimo wins the 2026 edition of the Finnish singing competition “Tähdet, Tähdet” (“Stars, Stars”). In the program, popular Finnish recording artists compete for the title of “Tähtien Tähti” (the ‘Star Among Stars’).

On the finale, Louhimo sings “My Heart Will Go On,” originally recorded by Céline Dion.

Jennifer Finch

5/31 L7 Bassist To Sit Out Summer Tour

A statement on social media reveals that Jennifer Finch will miss the band’s summer shows due to an undisclosed “recent health concern requiring extended treatment.”

She will be temporarily replaced by Tsuzumi Okai.

Chris Robinson

5/31 Black Crowes Singer Booed

Chris Robinson gets into hot water with fans after he takes on audience members who chant “U.S,A.”

The pro-America cheer starts when an image of the band’s black crow mascot, dressed as Uncle Sam, is projected on a screen behind the stage during a concert in Tampa, FL.

“Thanks for the geography lesson,” the singer says sarcastically in response to the crowd’s shouting.

He then doubles down as the chant persists, adding, “I don’t know what you have to be so proud of right now.” The remark sparks boos from the audience, and some people leave the concert in protest.

Bruce Dickinson On The Tank

6/4 Bruce Dickinson Is “Tanking”

The Iron Maiden singer cruises around in a tank before the band’s headlining performance at the four-day Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden. Dickinson waves a Swedish flag and a Union Jack (U.K.).

Iron Maiden began its current 26th global trek, “Run For Your Lives World Tour” last year to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.

Lamb Of God

6/4 Lamb Of God Hit A Home Run

The band makes an appearance at CarMax Park in their hometown for the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ game against the Erie SeaWolves.

Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler toss out the ceremonial first pitch.

Later, drummer Art Cruz and vocalist Randy Blythe sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” during the seventh-inning stretch.

Marilyn Manson

6/5 Marilyn Manson Loses Again

Manson loses his bid to shut down a sexual assault lawsuit brought by his former assistant.

A California judge refuses to toss or trim the claims in Ashley Walters’ third amended complaint under a new California law that gives older sexual assault claims a two-year lookback window to move forward.

The judge rules that Walters’ claims were strong enough to let the case move forward while both sides gather evidence to show whether the alleged sexual assault qualifies for revival.

Sleep Theory

Words Are Worthless

6/6 Sleep Theory’s “Words Are Worthless” Lands At #1

“A violin-enhanced power ballad like only Sleep Theory could craft,” reads a press release regarding the #1 song on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

The video, which features the band in performance mode, boasts “a Goth noir vibe.”

“Words Are Worthless” follows “Stuck In My Head” and “Static” to the top of Mainstream Rock. All three songs are from the band’s debut album “Afterglow.”

“Afterglow” only reached #117 on the Billboard 200. But it landed in the Top 10 on the U.S. Top Album Sales and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

Bruce Springsteen Greatest Hits

6/6 Springsteen’s “Greatest Hits” Returns To The Billboard 200

The 1995 package re-enters the Billboard 200 at #192.

The album features hits like ‘Dancing In The Dark’ and ‘Streets Of Philadelphia,’ which earned Grammy and Academy Awards.

The chart return comes shortly after Springsteen’s 20-date North American tour, which played major venues.
