Guitarist Brent Hinds Exits Mastodon… Who Move On
Mastodon announced in a (3/7) social media post, that the band and Hinds “mutually decided to part ways.”
The post goes on to say, “We’re deeply proud of and beyond grateful for the music and history we’ve shared and we wish him nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors.”
Hinds was a founding member of Mastodon, joining in 2000. In addition to guitar Hinds shared lead vocals with bassist Troy Sanders.
Mastodon played their first show (3/9) since parting ways with Hinds by adding YouTube guitarist Ben Eller for Tool’s Live In The Sand Festival in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic,
Mastodon, along with Coheed and Cambria, will embark on “The Infinite Arc” 20-ciity tour on May 10th in Salem, VA and wrap up in Waukee, IA on June 8th.
