“Peace Of Mind” Graphic Novel

Iron Maiden have announced an epic graphic novel in celebration of the 40th anniversary of their fourth album, “Piece Of Mind.” It’s due out November 21st through Z2.

Each of the nine songs on the album, which includes “The Trooper,” “Flight Of Icarus” and “Revelations” has an individual chapter.

Frontman Bruce Dickinson contributed to the “Revelations” chapter. “It allowed me to add more layers and dimensions to the lyrics and add a new twist,” explained Dickinson.

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, The Cure bassist Simon Gallup. Public Enemy’s Chuck D, Fozzy singer Chris Jericho and director Jonas Akerlund also developed content for the novel.

” I felt it was the perfect medium to expand outside the confines of the songs and to create new storylines and new dimensions through short form narrative and imagery,” added Dickinson. “Z2 did a tremendous job in pulling this all together to create more than just a graphic novel, it’s what I consider a work of art.”
