Super Bowl Musical Notes
First, the Seattle Seahawks won Sunday’s Super Bowl LX beating the New England Patriots 29-13.
Despite Trump calling Bad Bunny’s halftime show “the worst EVER!,” the much-ballyhooed performance was very entertaining and non-controversial, highlighting Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican heritage. The show also featured appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Meanwhile, the alternative “Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show,” led by Kid Rock, was as lethargic as the Patriots offense… and didn’t even draw one-tenth of Bad Bunny’s audience.
Green Day opened the Super Bowl pregame with frontman Billy Joe Armstrong singing a snippet of “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)” before the band launched into a medley of “Holiday, “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” and “American Idiot.” All three songs were from the band’s ’05 classic album, “American Idiot.”

During the Seahawks player intros, Alice In Chains’ “Man In The Box” played and Aerosmith’s “Sweet Emotion” played during the Patriots intros. Also, Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” was heard as the Patriots ran onto the field.
The best commercial was Budweiser’s ad featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.” The “Good Will Dunkin'” ad was pretty clever but Bon Jovi’s appearance in a State Farm clip was inconsequential.
