Ghost Goes Platinum
Ghost‘s single “Mary On A Cross” has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) for accumulating one million certified units.
Also, a slowed down version of “Mary On A Cross“ amassed over one billion TikTok views as the song was used as the soundtrack for thousands of videos on the platform. As a result, Ghost released an official slowed down version.
Last November, “Mary On A Cross” became the fourth Ghost single to achieve gold status (500,000 units). “Cirice,” “Dance Macabre,” and “Square Hammer” are the other three.
According to the RIAA, one equivalent song unit is equal to a single digital song sale, or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams.
