“Friendly Fire” is Linkin Park’s 10th #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart (dated 4/20). The song displaces Foo Fighters’ “The Glass,” which lasted only a week at the top.
“Friendly Fire” was recorded during the sessions for “One More Light” but was not included on the ’17 album.
The ballad is now on “Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023),” the band’s greatest hits package that dropped on 4/12.
The song is the band’s second #1 in a row, following “Lost,” which reigned for eight weeks starting last March.
