DJ Ashba (Sixx: A,M/Guns N’ Roses) recently legally changed his name to ‘Ashba’.
Ashba’s real first name is Daren. His mother’s second marriage was to a man who had four kids already, and one was named Daren. To avoid confusion the guitarist became DJ.
“I never chose to be called DJ, in fact it’s more of a curse being a guitar player,” shared Ashba. “Everybody thought I was a ‘DJ,’ and I still get asked if I’m a DJ.”
He is now ‘Ashba’ and he will answer to ‘Ash’.
